D.C. on the upswing

Now on my 6th year in Washington, I have to say that this has finally become a nice place to live. There are more amenities within the city (albeit expensive) and I generally feel a lot safer than when I initially moved here. Lots of gov't folks are retiring, which means a load of young professionals are filtering in and making the city younger and livelier.
