I don't understand why you have to build new homes when their are hundreds of homes sitting around vancant and the real estate market of home values has dropped. people don't want to live in williamsport because of crime. a well kept home 30 years ago in what was a very safe and respectable neighborhood is now drugs and crime. I don't know where you received your information, but I can tell you that crime is up and violent crimes are up and williamsport is very well known as little philly. we have no new businesses ,{ big plants coming in}. we have lots of bars, banks, and welfare here. years ago a mayor started a program for recovering addicts. every since then williamsport has been subject to so much influx. williamsport high school is not what they say it is. theie are so many gangs and fights there. the local paper does not report any crime at the school. you need to do your home work and get the facts. i live across from williamsport and at one time it was a great place to live. but not any more, i hope the new mayor will turn things around for williamsport.
