A pretty good place to live...

Loma Linda is a quaint college town. As a previous poster said, this is a Seventh-Day Adventist community, but I see this as a positive rather than a negative. The people are nice and friendly and crime is minimal. There are lots of places to eat (that offer meat, no less!). I have lived and worked here for over ten years and I like the town.
The only caveat is the weather. It gets above 90 degrees often and the air quality is poor since the Inland Empire is a basin surrounded by mountains and with half a million people around with almost as many cars, the smog gets nasty. Then the wind blows the smog out but picks up all the pollen and dust, so allergy sufferers beware.
I have to move now (career change) but am having a hard time finding as nice and safe a community as Loma Linda.
