I hope you like vege-meat

For those that don't know Loma Linda is a University town, specifically an Adventist Medical/Dental/Nursing/Public Health University town. The majority of people here are either some sort of medical/allied health student, and elderly. There are 3 hospitals within a 2 mile radius. The town is Seventh Day Adventist, which means they worship of Saturdays. You will notice most of the towm shuts down at sundown friday evening and remains closed until Sunday. Mail is not even delivered on Saturdays; it comes Sunday afternoon. A principle belief in Adventism is Vegetarianism and Health. All of the fast food, and restaurants offer menus with veggie- meats or soy products and Every sunday you'll see about 1/3 of the town out walking/running or biking as the "loma linda lopers" which is 100's of community members strong, train Sundays @ 6am. Lastly Loma Linda is a DRY CITY. No restaurants are permitted if they sell alcohol, there are no bars and wine/beer may be purchased at the local supermarket, but you'll have to go outside city limits for hard alcohol.

Loma Linda is no longer a dry city. Also, I believe that the Adventists are now a minority of the population.
