Review of Palestine, Texas

Beautiful
Star Rating - 8/4/2009
Moved here in 1992 for a nice place to raise children. Came from a big town and there were adjustments. There are more churches than bars, you DO get to know your neighbors, and you learn not to talk about anyone, cause the person you're talking to is either a buddy or related to the one you're talking about. Some of the old people shouldn't be driving anymore, some of the young ones shouldn't have started, but if you are at a light, look around and wave. Chances are you know someone. Since there is no night life, the people hanging out after dark could be finding something better to do, but if you must shop the malls and don't know that home cooking beats all, Tyler is only 45 minutes away and Dallas a meer 2 hours through some really pretty country. (And if conservative is scarry to you, go on and leave, cause you terrify me.... I really hate what you've done in California and New York.)
