While I agree with some points, nice weather, nice park, golf etc. I would be very areful about the world class medically since you mentioned Neuro, as of August 2018 there is only one full time neurologist in all of southern Utah. We also have no rhematologist and one one endocrinologist. There are many people who retired here that have to travel 300 miles to SLC for basic care in these specilalites. While the hospital does great if you need a new knee or bypass, primary care, urgent care lack (look at the urgent care waits 6-8 hours and cedar/sunset/hurricane and mesquite now have limited days and hours) . The lack of many medical professionals in the big pretty building, does not really effect people until they need it and then it is a huge issue. I have seen families have to move or the commutes weekly to SLC take such a toll on the whole family finaincially and emotionally, for seniors it is worse, have a stroke, dementia, and it is an 8 month wait for neurology and you get 1 visit, yes as of June 2018 IHC has a rule one visit and then you PCP has to handle your needs. It is very sad because this city is safe, warm weather, low cost of living (if you can buy a home) safe schools, friendly people, but until that nice hospital is full of everything a city of this size should have it is a big risk you take if you end up with one of many medical issues. I would also add while school are safe, they are overcrowded and while kids get straight A's like candy, they don't learn much (look at the average ACT score 19-20?) and less then 7% of high school grads finish college. Also kids are bored here and it is sad because this should be a great place for kids. The city has come program for kids under 10, but hit 11-18 and besides a some sports and a few music classes, there is nothing for that age group. No art lessons, no academic clubs at schools, no groups to join with common interests. It is school, maybe a sport or music and church (if you are religious) and that is it and being landlocked there isn't really a bigger city close to get more camps, activties etc to do.
