Review of Sand Springs, Oklahoma

Small Business Capital of Oklahoma
Star Rating - 2/15/2009
Sand Springs is among one of Oklahoma's small towns rich with pioneer history.
It is possibly the only town in Oklahoma created through philanthropy. The city's founder is Charles Page.
Located just a few miles west of Tulsa, Sand Springs shares much of its culture and recreation with its larger metropolitan neighbor. Like other neighboring communities adjacent to Tulsa, Sand Springs offers a quiet, simpler alternative to the hustle & bustle of Tulsa, yet still in close proximity to allow residents with all the amenities of a metropolis the size of Tulsa.
The greatest potential Sand Springs possesses is the revival of the quaint downtown district, particularly for a person who is wanting to start a small business that caters to local residents and visiting tourist eager to experience Native Oklahoma at its finest.
Aside from big city entertainment, Northeastern Oklahoma offers the avid outdoors person fantastic opportunities for camping, fishing, horseback riding, bicycling, and other activities that require an appreciation to the wonderful natural resources in the area.
