This review was done over ten years ago and times have changed. Yes the city has new homes but the traffic is horrific! Even on side streets. I noticed that Isabel did not make restaurant plural, Smith's Landing opened with in the last year and that one is an excellent restaurant. If you want to go to even a decent one, go to Brentwood, Pittsburg or Oakley. Downtown has been declining and the city council doesn't do much except to bicker among themselves and go up for reelection. The area off of Gentrytown and Buchanan has become blight to the area with homelessness, abandoned and empty stores. We are planning to get out after thirty years of living in Antioch.
