Review of Palestine, Texas

A Breath of Fresh Air
Star Rating - 10/12/2009
After living in the frigid Northwest of the united states, and traveling all over the world with the United States Army, My family and I were ready to find a good place to settle down for a while. On of my family members mentioned this place called Palestine Texas. At first, I was not up for the idea of living in Texas because of the stereotypical references made commonly about the state. I thought it would be a dry, arid, hot inviornment. I thought many things, and none of them were good however, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and decided to investigate what my family had told me. Do my delight, I descovered that there is a msaaivly high concentration of historic homes in palestine. There is 53 churched for a population of between 18-20k. There is adequate grocery stores, its not too hot (in fact its perfect and the grass is greener than any other place I have ever lived). To make this ever expanding story shorter, my wife and I found our place in the world, and have never been happier. We have a historic home on Kolstad street, I am on the mainstreet advisory board volunteering for the city, and I also spend my other free time revitilizing historic homes and buildings. My personal oppinion is: what are you waiting for, get your butt down here and see what i'm talking about!...
