Review of Palestine, Texas

Good/ Bad
Star Rating - 1/8/2010
Palestine has a lot of great open land around town. Population hovers around 18,000+. Commuting is never backed up, nor is it along drive. Just about everybody knows each other or knows somebody that knows somebody. The down side is there is not much for the youth to do. There is a YMCA, movie theatre, an arcade/ go-karts, city park. Hunting, fishing, boating, biking, and camping are easily accessable and plentiful. We have 4 major lakes within a 1 hour drive, well over a couple-hundred thousand acres of state land, We have a historical Railroad that runs today called The Texas State Railroad. The train is authentic. Areas we lack in we make up with others ten fold. I grew up here and I love my town and county for that matter.
