Review of Mooresvil,

Sleepy town, pricey and congested now
Star Rating - 8/31/2013
Mooresville used to be a sleepy mill town, but now with unbridled development, it has traffic woes and the housing prices have skyrocketed. To live on the lake, you used to be able to build a modest home for fishing, but now you must plunk down about $800,000 to enjoy the over developed land. There is plenty of shopping, but little thought went into having an attractive lay out and suburban sprawl is taking over much of the land.
If you have kids, there are some things to do locally, and many people drive on down to Charlotte for cultural events and sporting events.Be advised that there is a nuclear plant nearby, so it that makes you nervous...
The hospital has been recently sold to a chain but has a pretty good record for safety and there are plenty of doctors to go around.
The schools have scored higher than the other town in the county, and there are private schools in the area, also. There is also some nightlife in the area, but little cultural arts.

Good points. Mooresville has more waterfront line than most other towns around it.
