This town is mostly older people and of mostly German decent, with that said ...you won't find real Italian food easily at any of the 3 grocery stores..and that leads me to the other issue, there's a mom and pop store called Price Cutter's and it's over priced,small and has a lot of rude employees....then there's Aldi's and it's actually very nice ..and last there's Walmart.. overpriced and never stocked right .. employees are either ignorant or idiots and I'm leaning towards both actually. There's no chicken or fish restaurants of either the fast food venue or elegant...but there's at least 6 different hamburger joints... there's nothing much to do in this town and maybe that's why there's a huge drug and alcohol problem here? ?? The housing is over priced and you'll spend a small fortune on car repairs and insurance since the city can't seem to get it together to fix pot holes in their streets ..SMH ..it has the potential to be a really nice town but apparently the current leadership at the town hall levels won't make that dream a reality. All in all, it's a nice place to visit Amish shops for baked goods and what not on your way to Truman lake and the Ozarks. Don't move here if you're under 40 years of age or you'll start getting old before your time or be in a semi catatonic state from the boredom.
