Review of Needles, California

The best kept secret in the US

I own a home in full, with no mortgage and a spacious yard. I can walk to white, sandy beach riverfront in 10 minutes from my front door. In 20 minutes I can be at Laughlin enjoying a casino strip that's like Vegas but on the water with beaches. 24hr sit down restaurants in town. Gorgeous Lake Havasu only 40 minutes south. Gorgeous weather 9 months out of the year, with 3 months of super hot but dry summers. Diverse international visitors from all over the world come through this area. Just big enough to enjoy but small enough to leave all the stress and crazy traffic behind. We have a college campus, hospital, basically everything much larger cities have. I love it here, best investment I ever made. I instantly went from poor to middle class as a homeowner, and it's changed my life. Plenty of kids and under 50 folks moving in too. Grab a house here while they're still affordable! Laughlin and Bullhead City just north of us are close enough to make up for anything we don't have, and they are growing too! Living here is like having the best of 4 states, California, Arizona, Nevada and Tribal Lands!

Ignore the disagrees. Keep in mind we are a BORDER TOWN, literally next to Nevada and Arizona. You can literally walk to Arizon in minutes from Needles over the bridge, and Arizonans have an automatic kneejerk jealous reaction to all things California. The same hypocrite Arizonans who will downvote this are the same ones who come here to use our golf course and Jack Smith park and boat launch. For these reviews to be accurte they would require reviewers to prove they've actually lived here within the last 3 years- otherwise they are just our insecure hateful neighbors from our once red (now blue!) neighbor state of Az or they haven't lived here in over a decade. The fact is, as I type this even in the midst of the Covid pandemic- Needles is developing a new shopping center on Broadway, a new Hampton Inn that hasn't even started construction yet is having their commencement ceremony next week, and a brand new Coffee House with free wifi and ice cold a.c. for all the kids to hang out in is opening at Desert Lube and Auto.
