Review of Chicago, Illinois

Reason for rudeness
Star Rating - 5/5/2006
You have 9 million people living on a postage stamp called Chicago. Dog eat dog, pushy, rude people. I felt like I was back in Pakistan the way people act there. Chicago has such great restaurants, architecture and cultural activities it is a shame, but, for me, I wouldn't live there for nothing. And the person who wrote that they lived in a suburb where everyone was a native and weren't friendly was right on. I can remember walking down the street strolling my baby carriage in winter and saying hello to the old women around Montose and Western, and nobody would say hello back! They would just look straight ahead like they did not hear me. And I was a woman in her early 30's with a baby in a stroller--not some ax murderer...but that's Chicago mentality 25 years ago even. Chicago really has gone to pot. You can have it!

As I said before, every city has good and bad things. I lived in Chicago for a long time and I enjoyed it. I moved to Houston 7 years ago and I regret every minute of my life for that decision. This city is dead. Nothing happens here. The only thing to do is eat, eat and eat more. It's full of restaurants, nothing else. Museums are small, Zoo even smaller, and no amusement parks. What is there to do? No wonder people gain so much weight.
