I've lived in Pasadena, Texas my entire life and its dad there are so many prejudice people and ignorant people around. I'm very thankful my parents didnt bring me up in that directory! I walked into a place and overheard someone staying how prejudice they were, I proclaimed I want and was told to leave. it's a bit better now, I hate it has a reputation like this. There are many of us that never believed this way and I was so happy to see that KKK building on Red Bluff dissipate. I'm sorry for the problems you've had in this little town... and thank you for your services in the military!

I’ve lived here since 92 supposedly when the kkk left and went to Jasper. A few tests later we heard about the dragging of that guy out there. I moved here from Houston where I was a minority and then I get here and there were no black People. Everyone around us that was black my friends and ex wouldn’t dare drive through Pasadena for that very same reason. Pasadena was a racist city and you did not drive through here if you were black. Though I don’t agree with it it’s always been this way. When Katrina happened that’s when things changed because people from other states didn’t know about this city and the Louisiana people diversified our city and we even have a few black cops on the force now which shocked me the first time his fine ass came to my apartment.

It was like this mainly white and Hispanic and it seemed segregated for awhile. Hispanics on one side and whites on the other and no black people. You got pulled over if you came through here and you were black and not just pulled over but pulled out of the car and it searched for drugs. Change is seen though but it takes time. Plus we still have some of those old people who have those same old mindsets still. Change takes time.

I’m not questioning the validity of your post at all. My comment is that I beleive the % of minorities in PASADENA dwarfs that of caucasians if that’s what your referring to so everywhere you go it’s primarily minorities. I’m white and most places I go in Pasadena I’m the minority by a long shot.
