Review of Redding, California

Overrun with Bethel Cult members and druggies
Star Rating - 10/23/2019
I lived in Redding 20 years. Redding used to have a pretty decent housing market compared to the rest of the state. But in the last 20 years the town has been taken over by Bethel cult, they are buying up all the houses and apartments and only renting to their students putting a huge strain on the market and compounding an already growing homeless problem. There is also a really bad drug epidemic due to the complete lack of mental health resources. It's become very expensive to live here and you're either constantly harrassed by homeless people or cult members. What's more is the income tax is more than double the national average yet our roads are in constant disrepair, no resources to help the less fortunate, and the cops are crooked criminals themselves. The town is filled with the skeletons of failed businesses, meth heads, homelessness, cult members and has a high crime rate.

This review is so over exaggerated its laughable. Let me first start off by saying that I am in no way affiliated with the Bethel Church. According to the internet there are only 11000 members of Bethel Church and not all of them live in Redding. So that is less than an 1/8 of the population of 91,000 people. I do not even know if I even met someone that was part of Bethel. I would not know if I did'nt ask. They are not like Mormons riding around on bikes and suits coming up to people and asking to talk to them. There is nothing about Redding that screams Bethel. I admit the some of the Bethel Church's beliefs in my own opinion are kind of weird, but from what I read on the internet most of them are young adults, who dress and act like normal people and are heavily involved in music. From what I hear apart from their beliefs they are actually very nice people and outstanding citizens. I would rather have Bethel members, Mormons or any other god fearing people part of the community than gang members like you see in the larger cities, Just saying.

I agree to a degree. The homeless problem is not a drug problem. It is what it is. California is a Libtard state. I was born in California. It was once a beautiful and great state. It is now a cesspool everywhere. Due to liberal, progressive, socialist politics. California is the microcosm and testing ground for liberal socialism. And it is not working. We want out of here as fast as we can go. I am a conservative minister who happens to also be an IT professional. However my principles have been so trampled that just LIVING in this state is unbearable anymore.
