Review of Portland, Oregon

For Better and For Worse
Star Rating - 3/27/2006
Portland, granted, is not the same as it was when I first moved here (from Cincinnati) in '97. When I came here, everyone was nicer, the Pearl District didn't look like SoMa (San Francisco's South of Market area), and housing wasn't through the roof. I left for New orleans in 2001, and returned to Mosco on the willamette...er, Portland, in 2003. I have to say that part of me regrets ever returning- folks (mostly from California- or worse, Las Vegas, I presume) having nastier (folks from New Jersey and New York are friendlier than some of the folks I've encountered. I'm threatening to move away...but Portland is like a drug. Bad for you, but still addictive. Thos who want to come here, really take what others say under consideration.
