Our family moved here from Ft Worth looking for a smaller city, slower pace, and friendlier people. Plus we wanted to be near to an active military base that serviced veterans. Boy did we get it all- in spades! People here complain about crime. They don't know what crime is! People here, overall, are quite friendly and helpful. There is a homeless population but its NOTHING compared with what we had in Ft Worth! I love Killeen and hope to never have to move!

Harker Heights is best area to move to if considering the area. Better infrastructure and public buildings are all new. Most of the crime in Killeen happens on Rancier and Veterans Blvd. If you stay on south side of the highway you should be good Yara.

Could you tell me more about the area? Moving to the area but crime rate looks high online. We are from nevada/California so it might not compare but hard to tell since I've never visited the area. It's between killen and cooperas cove. Thanks for your feedback!
