This comment is a false representation of Carlsbad. I’ve lived in Carlsbad for over 20 years. I moved here when I was 18 and am now raising my sons in this wonderful town. My sons and I ride our bikes down to local surf spots every weekend. It’s a fun active little surf town with low crime. (You will not likely get shot driving by a Carlsbad school!) My sons have attended a local school here and have had no issues with bully’s or problems with violence. I feel safe in this town and that is why I have chosen to raise my sons here. The temp is on average 75•. There is fog that starts in early morning and usually burns off in the afternoon. Sunsets along the coast are gorgeous here. The comment above sounds like a town I’ve never visited before? Really sad misrepresentation...

This comment is a sad, sad, misrepresentation of this great area. The climate is perfect, the majority of population is accepting and and welcoming. I'm white and maybe don't see the racism as well as someone of color but I'm not stupid and would certainly be aware if that was a predominant condition. Certainly no one spits on your face. This is a crazy and inaccurate description of a beautiful city with a wonderful climate. Downsides would be there are many tourists in the summer, traffic during commute times and a high cost of living.

I know exactly what you say, my main man. I also spend many years in Carlsbad as a worker and a family. I also was spit on every day by every person in Carlsbad. I was forced to carry an umbrella. The police would arrest me just for smiling or doing a good deed like feeding the homeless. Stores never have sales there. Every item is full price every day, even on Friday. The gangs are also terrible there. They burn down my house every day and tell me I will soon die at their hands. You are perfectly excellent in your description of Carlsbad. Especially the weather. You never even know if it will be hot or cold because the weatherman lies constantly and talks about you behind your back. I am so happy I left.

All of this is true. I went there and every person spit on me because I looked different. I have a large nose and thick black hair beneath my belly button that flows over my waistband. Even the clergy, police, dog walkers, etc spit on me. I don't ever want to go back. One lady, who owned an ice cream shop threatened to gut me just for saying hi to her.
