If the floods don't drown you in your bed in the night, the crime rate will hit you. You may be shot in a Walmart parking lot or robbed leaving Neiman Marcus in the Galleria. You can't escape bad experiences in Houston. This website says it is the 2nd most irritated city in the nation. I believe it. The flooding is the worst, all areas of Houston flood and ruin your house and cars. Crime is everywhere. The muggy humidity and heat will drag you down. Live somewhere energetic and safe, not in Houston.
