Review of Los Angeles, California

Air Quality
Star Rating - 8/26/2008
The air quality rating for many places in the south end of the San Fernando Valley must be based on this site from that of Los Angeles, of which we are a part, but 30 miles away and where the coast of California jogs out to the West and is separated by coastal mountains that run from East to the West from the Los Angeles basin. We are also at a higher elevation. Since no local cities are included on this website, the site is not accurate. Surrounding Winnetka, are Woodland Hills, West Hills, Hidden Hills, Topanga Canyon, Malibu Hills, Tarzana, Encino, Reseda, Calabasas, Northridge, Canoga Park, Porter Ranch, and Chatsworth, to name a few, all large areas, but none are listed as separate from Los Angeles. Our air quality is far better and cannot be compared, as we are far to the West of the city, and closer to the rating for Ventura County than for Los Angeles. Our air quality is occasionally poor when the smog from the inner city is blown to the East and North, but that is very rare and transient.
