Review of San Francisco, California

Hard to Make Friends
Star Rating - 4/26/2006
Yes, SF is a great city no doubt - but most people move there for work (as I did) so it is not the easiest place to make friends. Most people that live there are not "from there" and tend to stick to there own little group of friends or work all the time. Unless you are young and going out to the bars all the time, making friends can be tough. Especially if you are a 30 something single woman! You will have LOTS of gay male friends, but if you are looking to find a partner in life - SF may not be for you. It's quite laid back and a very non-judgemental city. But at the sametime quite focused on material things due to the cost of living. What you have and what you own become quite important - and before you know it you're also wrapped up in it. Everyone should experience it once - but get out before it makes you bitter.
