Review of Cortez, Colorado

Outdoor Paradise Breweries, Cheap Homes, and Fiber
Star Rating - 4/17/2021
A digital nomad / nature lover's sunny, perfect weather paradise, at half the cost of touristy Durango. Cortez is Colorado's under-the-radar town that's mostly only known to cross country road trippers and adventure lovers. 45 to 90 minutes in any direction gets you Sedona like deserts, 14k foot snow in Telluride, rafting/climbing in Moab or nightlife in Durango. The town has plenty of local high quality restaurants, good coffee, a few breweries, $59 connections to Denver, and awesome local radio. Unlike Durango you are not in a canyon and the hill top city has 360 views of 14k peaks, mesas, sunset and distant desert. There is a quiet undercurrent of new energy here, fiber internet being installed everywhere, and an eclectic mix of thought and income levels. No traffic, few stop lights, and freedom. Come check it out!
