Economy in changing times

Our neighborhood has seen a drop in income levels for the last few years (4+) because of what I think is tied to the economic ills our country is feeling. I work for a private school and I see more families having problems with private tuitions, yet because of state budget cuts that are affecting public schools, they (families) are doing whatever they can to keep their children in private schools.
