We moved here in 1995 from Alaska.....now I wonder why. If you want beauty, clean air, friendly people, great water and outdoor recreation beyond compare, go to Alaska. Sure Portland is a pretty city but the air quality is horrible, the water is nasty....do not eat fish from the Willamette (sewer) River. The people are so liberal that most children are spoiled rotten and have little respect for their parents or anything else, pan handling is a way of life, lesbians flop their breasts out in public parades and the mayor rides with them. The moss and ivy grow faster than the grass and if you have allergies, prepare to suffer. We live in a great neighborhood with wonderful neighbors and we will miss it and them, but not the city and the crime.
