Review of Hanover, New Hampshire

Big fish in a little pond syndrome
Star Rating - 6/14/2018
Hanover/Lyme is where people from MA and NY and other states move so they can be big fish in little ponds. For the area, Hanover is a nice town but there are many such towns around Boston, NYC, and so on. There is very little shopping unless you want expensive, locally sourced products sold at the funky COOP. They have a few streets with all the things a college town needs but after awhile of paying the costs (jacked up!) this town gets old and boring. The library is very good especially for the area and there are some nice people but overall the whole Upper Valley is a mix of out of state hipsters trying to be big fish in the pond because they failed in their home states. They bring lefty ideas that clash with the locals in other more humble towns.
