Not so great

We moved here from Nashville 15 years ago. Some of the things I like are the mild winters, diversity (but that is changing, good prices on housing, no taxes on food, lots of places to shop & Spurs Basketball. What I don't like, is that now I am minority and since I lost my job after nine years, I am now having problems getting one because I do not speak Spanish! I thought I lived in the USA. The summers are extremely hot, the traffic is horrible. The roads are very slippery when wet and what is up with the frontage roads. You can see where you want to go but have to go miles and turn around to get there. The auto insurance and property taxes are high and don't get me started about low wages. It took me several years of working to make what I was making in Nashville when I moved here. Crime is everywhere with lots of gangs and drugs and the education system sucks. I have lived in other places and Europe and I am ready to get out!
