Review of Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix--Paradise Lost
Star Rating - 7/15/2007
Over the past 20 years, the greater Phoenix metropolitan area has gradually lost a lot of its earlier quality of life attractiveness. It, unfortunately, has followed in the footsteps of many other major american cities: Traffic gridlock, rapidly escalating property costs, ever-worsening air quality, and increasingly hotter average summer temperatures due to the "heat island" effect.

My wife and I are looking forward to our upcoming relocation to Florence, Alabama for our retirement. A slower pace of life, small town friendliness, a lower cost of living, and a beautiful natural setting of forests, lakes and rivers are the main reasons why we will be resettling in northwestern Alabama.
