Small town. Everyone knows everyone else's business. No work. Located in Crow Wing County and has highest unemployment rate in the state. Poor healthcare. Essentia  More

High taxes, tolls, utilities but close to NYC. Not a good place to retire unless well to do & you have a house on the Jersey shore. Then again, that's if your house  More

Definitely a tourist area. Not a good place to raise kids! Schools are terrible. Decent amount of crime, nothing too extreme. High accident rate. Dear god do NOT drive  More

I have visited this area and it is very nice. I am thinking of longer stays. The only thing I find troubling is the lower end rating for water in this area in general.  More
