Compared to Houston, Texas, the cost of living is lower. Property taxes are about 70% lower. Car insurance 50% lower and homeowners is 60% lower. Sales tax is 1/4%  More

Could be worse - drug issues, no good jobs, lots of crime, but nice outside activities. Locals don't like anyone moving here and taking a job - I can say that! Glad I  More
