An average town with a bad rap

I've lived here since about 2012. I moved in from a surrounding small suburb called Shoals Manor where I lived for almost 10 years. I lived in Huntington for a few years before that with a roommate. And I don't see what all the people are complaining about. I've been called naive. Fine. I live smack in the middle of Huntington WV. I don't see any needles. Maybe one or two in the last five years. I don't see people stoned out of their minds. I don't see people getting robbed or hear gunshots. So just stop it already okay. That stuff exists here sure. It exists everywhere. But I don't see all the hype about it being such a terrible place. I can get out and walk anywhere in town right now and guarantee I'll come back just fine. It's time we put an end to all the extra bullcrap being piled on this town. Bad stuff can happen anywhere. Deal with it. Don't blame Huntington for your bad luck.
