Chippewa Falls, WI is a small city located in the northwest part of the state. With a population of around 13,000 people, it is a tight-knit community with strong local politics. The city's politics are presided over by the Chippewa Falls Common Council, which consists of eight members who are elected by the community and serve two year terms. The council works on local issues such as improving infrastructure, traffic control, economic development, and more. Additionally, each member can bring their own unique perspectives to any given issue that comes before them. In addition to the Common Council, there are numerous other local political bodies such as Chippewa County Board of Supervisors and Chippewa County Executive Committee which are responsible for conducting county business. Local elections occur periodically throughout the year and determine who will represent residents at both the City and County level.
