Review of Plymouth, Massachusetts

Life in Plymouth
Star Rating - 5/18/2008
My wife and I have lived in Plymouth for 4 years. We find it a very friendly town that is open to newcomers. Whle the town is the largest in area in Massachusetts, it maintains the small town feel. The negative points are the climate (we had over 10 feet of snow the first year here with a 52" drift in our back yard) and the cost of living. The state seems to feel that it needs to manage your life and it collects taxes that reflect that philosophy. Housing is also quite expensive with a nice small 2 bedroom home on the market for $250,000 to $300,000. We would love to be here in the spring summer and fall but go to warmer climates in the winter months.
