We, on a whim moved from the Sierra Nevada Mountains to Gainesville Ga. We LOVED IT. But now we are back in the West because we just missed them Grandbabies a bit too much. The People in the south are awesome. We were astounded when we saw our first Police Officer changing a ladies tire for her on the side of the road. Public servants .. .awesome. southerners are awesome. very kind. The area is full of outdoor things to see and do especially with beautiful Lake Lanier. I miss Georgia so much. If you're looking to leave Colorado, consider heading to northern Virginia, especially Fairfax county if you're looking for amazing schools, a very strong economy, and a low crime rate. You should ignore Fairfax city and check out Burke, Springfield, Vienna, and Annandale. If costs of living are restrictive (be aware, though, the economy & money making opportunities are good in this area), you should check out Manassas.
