| 5/23/2012 | other | I love this school. I went there myself. I thought was a great school for me to go to. If I still leaved in Oregon. I would love for my kids to go there when I have kids someday. I love and miss all my teachers that i had when I went there. |
| 4/25/2012 | parent | There are better schools in the area such as Finley, Terra Linda, Jacob Wismer, Bonny Slopes and Bethany. Check out these school and there rank in the beaverton school district. |
| 3/2/2010 | parent | We love this school and feel fortunate that the staff goes above and beyond to meet our unique needs. |
| 9/19/2009 | parent | Oak Hills is the best school because of the talented, caring, energetic and enthusiastic staff! |
| 11/28/2006 | parent | My kids went to Oak Hills for 4 years. We loved the school. We are now living overseas and the kids are in a top international school. They had no problem adjusting to the rigorous curriculum, and I feel Oak Hills helped prepare them for it. Oak Hills suffers the problem that all public schools suffer under the current Leave No (every)Child Behind mandates, they teach for testing far too much. |
| 10/23/2006 | parent | There is a new principal this year, so it's hard to judge the principal's leadership. The quality of teachers are great. Oak Hills attacts good teachers because of the high level of parent involvement. The teachers spend a lot of time with students since they don't have to waste time on adminstrative tasks. Parents help with both excelling kids and kids that are in need of a little extra help. The moral in the school is excellent. Everyone is upbeat. Excellence and attention are expected from the kids as well as involvement daily from parents at home. I believe it is a private school quality education at a public school. |
| 7/17/2006 | parent | I have had kids at this school for 10 years and have loved the experience. Oak Hills is a tremendous school with a very caring staff. Any school would be thrilled to have this experienced staff. Academics are taught to children of all levels. We have a tremendous number of volunteers that help make our school a better place to learn. If I had to it all over again I would choose Oak Hills for my kids. Great staff and a wonderful learning environment. My kids can't wait to go back to school in the Fall. |
| 5/11/2006 | parent | I never have had a good experaince with this school! And I gave it three years. The principal is retiring this year, in my opinion 10 years to late. It takes a very special person to work with kids of all types ethnic backgrounds, economic backgrounds. And not be judgmental. Aside from a few teachers there, all of the rest of the staff fall short of that something special. Needless to say I have to force my kids to go to school, and both are afraid there not making it to the next grade due to the pressure put on them from the staff. Our kids should not be expressing stress like that in 1st and 3rd grade. It will take years of rebuilding in the self asteem dept. Hopefully the change of school we've done will acomlish that! |
