Not pet-friendly. Nicer than communities west of t - 10/5/2016
If you are a dog owner there is no place with in the town to enjoy time with your pet. Southeastern PA's westernmost town offers train service, in fact good, Amtrak service. You are still able to receive most Philadelphia telex=vision stations, as well as channe1 11 from Baltimore. There isn't really a lot to do. It is a great place if you are white, Protestant, and some one who is a homebody.Read More

The Seasons of Pennsylvania - 2/20/2012
Being a 40+ year resident of Elizabethtown, I can think of many reasons I love living here...not least of which is the people. It's a wonderful place to raise a family.

There are some great neighborhoods only a block or two off the main streets. Most streets are quiet with little traffic. There is a college in town, but it does not suffer many of the ills of a lot of college towns with rowdiness, noise or litter (like, say, Millersville). Though struggling slightly, the downtown area is maintaining a vibrance unlike many towns in the area. It's a short drive to Harrisburg or Lancaster via major highway for serious shopping or culture. Amtrak trains stop here, and bus service is available. Prefer to live in the country? It's truly minutes away in most any direction. Other than typical PA weather (humidity), and the occasional aroma of farms, there isn't much to Read More
