Rude Awakening! - 12/24/2009
A city where brainwashing is essential. I have come to realize that you cannot succeed in Nashville unless you are studying witchcraft, voodoo or vampires in which is equivalent to what America calls "Christianity." You cannot possibly worship God and one of the above mentioned. They don't mix. Too bad that this is the norm, not just in Tennessee, but throughout the world. Ever wonder why things are screwed up and the only thing that matters to most people is being accepted by everyone and

Music City-Nashville - 12/16/2009
4 seasons with mild winters, summers can be hot and humid. The area has plenty to do if you like country music but also sports and other entertainment. Beautiful area with lakes, rivers and hills. Very historic area. Traffic can be bad and also crime but people are friendly in

Nashville, TN - 10/21/2009
Nashville is a great place to raise children. It is a relatively wholesome city with good schools if you can afford private schools. The public school system in Davidson county is not good (it is "ok" in Brentwood). Nashville is what I would call "milquetoast". It is not an exciting place to live, it has mediocre restaurants, not much to do for the size that it is, it is not culturally or racially diverse, it is too "landlocked" for my taste, and the people are somewhat boring and conservative (both behaviorally and politically). But it is a very pretty city. It is clean, the homes have large lot sizes (you pay a pretty penny for real estate within Davidson County) it is very green (and i don't mean in the mother earth/recycling way...in that way they are behind the times)and there are four almost equal seasons. The summers can be brutal with regards to the heat index but overall there is enough sunshine throughout the year to satisfy even the hardiest of sun worshipers. There may

We love living in Nashville. - 9/12/2009
My husband and I have been in Nashville for almost seven years now and love it. People are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. There is a lot to do...more than any one person can keep up with. Cultural institutions are thriving and welcome volunteer participation. All in all, it's a great place to live...but also a great place to visit. If ever we leave, we'll come

Long Time Resident - 8/20/2009
Don't ever move here! I have lived here for 29 years of my life. This is the worst city EVER! I have lived in five states and six different cities. People keep moving to Nashville and I can't figure out why!! The unemployment in this city is disgusting. There are no jobs. There is crime everywhere. There is nothing here to do for fun. It's boring! The summers and winters are BRUTAL! The drivers are awful here. The cost of living here is way expensive -- and NOT worth it. The city is dirty and trashy. It is not a place to raise children. Hopefully, I will be able to leave this place soon and never look

STAY OUT OF NASHVILLE - 7/19/2009
I've lived here for three of the worst years of my life. The people are extremely rude; I say "Hello" and get silence. The drivers are hideous; I see car accidents EVERY single day. The weather is vile; summers are hot and humid as hell itself. The people are close-minded and EXTREMELY stupid. If you go downtown, your car will be stolen or you will be accosted by a bum. I'm white, but my black friends are treated like absolute garbage.
At least the unemployment lines have pretty girls in

Madison Tennessee - 4/26/2009
Having moved here from the artic climate of Wisconsin, I am enjoying my life here in Madison Tennessee as much today as I did when I moved here four years ago. It is not only the climate, there are four distinct seasons, but the small town rural atmosphere of the different neighborhoods. People here are friendly and the pace is slow.
The economy, like most places in the U.S. now, is slow. Unempolyment is high but, people are hopeful.
I especially like the way people are more free to say, God Bless - Have a Nice Day. Those kinds of greetings are not common in the State of

Disappointed - 3/30/2009
Im going to keep it real. There are certain aspects of living in Nashville that are not too appealing. For example, if you don't belong to a church you have absolutely no chance of become successful in any way shape form or fashion. Nashvillians are obsessed with churh. You cannot have an intelligent conversation without the subject surfacing. Unfortunately, this forces some to dwell among the devil worshipping churchgoers. If you are not willing to join some type of religious organization, Nashville is not the place to be. I am not against church, but against how it is run and how people use God's name to make a profit. I worked 5 years and could not get promoted or a raise because I did not belong to a religious organization. People can tell by a person's actions if they are good spirited or a God fearing person. I find something terribly wrong when one minute people are talking about zombies, witches, vampires, etc. and the next they talk about and attend church. People should not
