Damn Yankee- Transplanted Texan - 6/2/2005
It's a really big city because it lays flat like a giant pizza. It takes an hour to get from one side to the other, average 50 miles across. Urban sprawl at its finest. Traffic is tolerable and there are route options, belt ways, loops, HOV lanes, etc.
Public Transportation is good for urbanites who commute from outlying areas into downtown. It's HOT!! and then sometimes you get a hurricane which I like cause it floods everything. It's a very affordable place and you can't cross any major road with passing some sort of shopping center/mall/outlet/
discounter. Not too many big fun destination type attractions, plenty of culture, and plenty of work. You can eat in a different restaurant every day. And golf courses all over the place. Read More
