just moved - 7/26/2007
My wife and I just moved to NC and like it here so far. We moved from Phoenix, where the cost of living was getting out of control. Raleigh seems fairly metropolitan and the people seem fairly nice. I am not sure that there is much to do, but as a college sports fan the Fall should be very

Concord - 6/4/2007
Concord real estate is getting very expensive. Concord is very popular with retirees from northern states. It is extremely popular with NASCAR fans, as Charlotte Motor Speedway (aka Lowe's Motor Speedway) is located here (not in Charlotte, byt the way). Concord is largely controlled by very conservative gov't, and operates more like a wing of the Southern Baptist Convention than an independent city. The city lacks a symphony or orchestra, although if amateur church productions are your thing, you will like it here. Concord was a textile town in the past, and intellectually and culturally it still

Quailty of Living in Raleigh, NC - 3/16/2007
I've lived here for 4 years from which I moved from Virginia Beach first to Maryland to here.
I love this area and wouldn't move anymore in my life because Wake County school are the best in the southeast region. The churches are ample in what your needs for spiritual follows are needed. After living here just 1 1/2 yrs I purchased my first home and I'm in the process of building my second in Clayton. I feel that this area gave me better opportunities than any other state that I have lived in over the past 27

Just moved To Pinehurst,N.C. from Connecticut abou - 1/15/2007
I was raised in Connecticut and lived in Connecticut for 31 years. I am a mother to 4 young children ages 2,5,8 and 11. We moved to Pinehurst, N.C. for military purposes. My family and I love it here. The area is beautiful. I immediately feel in love with North Carolina when I arrived 10 months ago, I was told to see how I felt after 1 year, after being here through all the seasons...It has been 10 months and I still love it! The best move ever! My children like it so much better than Connecticut. People are friendly. The children have been excepting of my children since day 1. There weather is so much warmer. The cost of liviong is way better. I have a beautiful house in a wonderful neighborhood, and it was so much cheaper than anything that we could have afforded in Connecticut. My family still lives in Connecticut and I try to talk them into moving to North Carolina all the time. Maybe someday they will move here and that way I will never have to leave this beautiful
