Teaching is very Discouraging in New Mexico

I moved here from a tenure track state and NM has NO Tenure for Public School Teachers. They will hire you short-term which does not guarantee that you will even be considered for re-hire. I have gone for interviews in Albuquerque and the schools are over-crowded.
I interviewed at one High School and was told that I would have 40 students per class. Forget about a rewarding career in Education in New Mexico. I don't know why Governor Richardson is boasting about our Education here in New Mexico?
