I have been living in New Mexico for 15 years. It is truly a very unsafe place. From small towns to large cities, the gang and drug problem is out of control. New Mexico ranks # 1 in crime, according to the Morgan Quitno Press team. I have lived in many large cities across the West, and Albuquerque defenetly feels and looks the unsafest/dirtiest. I am relocating. If you are planning on moving here, please make sure to check vital statistics from various sources, and please stay away from information found in travel brochures.
