Hi my name is Tammie, And I live in Blue Lake California. Which is just a hop skip and a jump away from Arcata. I'm surprised that nobody ever answered you back. I don't know if you have already made your move to the West Coast, but yes this area is beautiful and they do have one bedroom apartments available. There is Brookings Oregon just up the road to the north. And it is a very quaint little Oceanside town. My sister owns a home their, and I know that there are one bedroom places available their also. I think you would be very happy living on the west coast, at least in Northern California or Southern Oregon. It is; I dare say one of the most beautiful places in the world. Between the Ocean beaches, Rivers, Redwoods, it is phenomenal.
