It's really what you make it!

I lived in Atlanta for 4 years and I would have to say that I agree with most of the comments about Atlanta not being all it's cracked up to be. Personally it's what you make, it has such a growing population that many people do "over hype the city up" however you have to take everything into consideration. The economy is a low point right now, so many people not just Atliens are being laid off. Jobs are hard to come by everywhere in the US!!! I was self employed still and dealt with these issues as well. The cost of living is low compared to Major US cities, but not the lowest. The city has a lot of offer for African Americans including many major companies, CNN, coca cola, etc if your lucky enough to land one of those jobs. The city also has a nice night life, I'm not referring to Magic City either, but rather the Musuems, Art walks, fine dining, and club scene is very nice for a southern city. I evenually left the city b/c it did not suit my needs. However, with every city you have to take the good with the bad.
