Austin is not cheap

Austin is overated!!! Moved here two years ago from AZ. Haven't figured out what they spend our outrageous property tax on. The medians and side roads outside of downtown Austin are not well maintained. There are no major sporting events in this town except for UT, which is full of drunken college kids. Rush hour traffic looks like you were in a city two or three times the size and the Texan way to deal with it, is to build new roads and make commuters pay to drive on them every day, whoopee. Every city has parks and recreational areas for people to enjoy, so I don't know what the big draw is to Austin. As far as attitude, I have run across alot of people who adhere to the "Texas way" and are unwilling to move into the future. So we are choosing to move onto a bigger city, hopefully with more positive experiences and people.
