Where to move in Austin

I will be relocating to Austin or Houston from Chicago within the next month. I have 3 young boys and I know nothing about the neighborhoods in Austin. Can someone please tell me where not to go and where to go. I don't know anyone there so I will be moving to a strange place, but that's the best part about it--to me anyways. I need good schools and jobs nearby. please help!

I just read your comment and i know its a little late but if you haven't settled into austin just yet you want to look into round rock. the schools are great and little or no gang activity plus the crime is fairly low.
