Most people who live here LOVE it and can't imagine being anywhere else. Austinites believe they have invented dive bars, live music, and a little trail that goes around a small river. But, for those of us who have been around, there's really nothing here that you can't find in many other cities in the US. And if you like breathing clean, allergen-free air, then you may want to count Austin out.
Austin has had some great press, and I've gotta give it to them for knowing how to promote their city. But, after living here almost a year, I can honestly say that it's probably the most over-rated city in the U.S. So, if you've never really been anywhere, or seen any of the truly amazing cities in the U.S., then Austin just may be for you!
