Austin is a great size - traffic is a non-issue when compared to other us cities, although growth is going to change tat over time. Surprisingly broad variety of music & sports events, culture, shows, restaurants and outdoor activities for a city the size of Austin. Lots to do, but not over crowded and relatively inexpensive.
