A lot of arrogance in TX as a whole...

I agree with a previous poster that there is a lot of arrogance here for some reason. There is no reason for anyone to be stuck on themselves. No offense to any Native Texan reading this, but this state is not what it's all cracked up to be. Yeah, people are friendly, for the most part, but Austin alone is turning into Little California, which is kind of scary! I'm not into tree hugging and I don't shop at Whole Foods. Can you tell I'm not a Native Texan or Austinite?? I've lived in several places throughout my life and never, before moving here, did I ever experience so much arrogance!
Oh and the traffic system is very unorganized and there's a lot of congestion because of it, along with the big and slow construction trucks, of which the drivers of these things don't know how to drive in the right lane!
People didn't want Austin to get as big as it has, so the city is at least 10 years behind on the planning for the improvement the traffic flow. Be prepared to sit at most red traffic lights for at least 2 or 3 minutes. And when there's a drop of rain hitting everyone's windshields, lookout because everyone will begin to slow down like there's an ice storm coming!
On the bright side, you don't get brutal winters like in some parts of the country. Also, suburbia is really nice and very family-oriented. There are many things here for kids to do to keep them entertained.
