A cool college town, but...

No bashing or trashing intended here....Just don't understand what is so special about Austin. where's the appeal? I wanted a change, so I moved to Austin. Sticker shock! The apartment rental prices are outrageous. After a year, I gave up and moved back to Houston. A dollar has a much higher buying power there.
