The general vibe and overall quality of life is great. Plenty of cultural and community things to do, but plenty of outdoor and recreational things too. Bike trails, good parks, soccer fields, the lakes of course, and downtown nightlife and restaurants are continuing to get better. Some people complain about traffic and commercialization, but that's just because the growth was fairly sudden and pushed property taxes and cost of living up dramatically in the late 80's/early 90's.
We are getting ready to leave but not for shortcomings of the city.
